A.H.M
Amelia Hodges-Merrington is a dedicated and resilient individual, pursuing a degree apprenticeship and taking great pride in her work. This website showcases my achievements and provides a deeper insight into who I am.
Here you will gain a deeper insight of me, and what I do on a day to day basis as well as how I have gained my skills

Hello, I'm Amelia. I've demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination throughout my life. This was evident during the early stages of my GCSEs when I wasn't in education during Year 10, which was crucial for building the knowledge needed for my Year 11 exams. I joined a new high school at the beginning of Year 11, facing a completely different curriculum than before. With effective organisational skills, motivation, pride in my work, I successfully completed high school without failing any subjects and achieved the grades necessary to pursue my goals in college, where I truly excelled.
During my time at Home Bargains, I have showcased transferable skills that are applicable in any workplace. Over the past two years, I have established myself as a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic team member, receiving numerous compliments for my customer service and friendly manner. I excel in teamwork, taking feedback constructively and effectively managing tasks assigned to me. While I cherish my role and the relationships with my colleagues, I am now seeking opportunities that will help me develop skills more aligned with a degree apprenticeship.
One of my favourite weekly activities is my volunteer work within the community. Every Wednesday for a year and a half I have volunteered for my local Brownies troop, helping vulnerable kids with developing new skills through creating art, baking and adventures outside. This has given me skills such as leadership and an increased amount of patience as well as being able to control a room. This work always has a special place in my heart as I have no interest in working with children but seeing children accomplish new tasks always makes me smile.
My Greatest Achievement
I am most proud of my A-Level results, particularly achieving an A* in my favourite subject, Business, when I was predicted a B. It felt incredible to maintain high grades in my other two subjects as well, earning an A in Criminology and a high B in Sociology. These achievements have significantly boosted my confidence in pursuing the degree apprenticeship role I desire.
